Maison Dessercom
As part of the Fondation HDL’s 2015–2019 Major Campaign, Dessercom has completed a long-awaited project: a hospital hotel. Since 2020, the Maison Dessercom has proudly stood in front of the hospital, a $7 million investment. Among others, it welcomes patients from outside the region to give them all the comfort they deserve while allowing them to stay near their treatments.
Once construction was complete, Dessercom turned over the keys to the Fondation HDL and the CISSS Chaudière-Appalaches, which manage it in partnership with the Quebec Cancer Foundation.
Dessercom Research Chair
Research and development are key to our goal of improving healthcare. From 2004 to 2023, we have contributed to the Université Laval – Dessercom – CISSS Chaudière-Appalaches Research Chair in Emergency Medicine. More than $2.5M has been invested in various projects focused on emergency medicine.

In 2020, Dessercom carried out its first international project: an international cooperation mission in Benin, Africa, where our professionals shared their knowledge with local clinics. We also donated an ambulance full of medical equipment and trained them on how to use it. The mission was a great success, so our team went back to offer its help in 2023 and 2024.
